KMA Mourns the Tragic Loss of Police Officer Shri. Anandakumar, Calls for Justice & Peace in Manipur

With profound sorrow and a heavy heart, Karnataka Meitei Association (KMA) extends deepest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Police Officer Shri. Chingtham Anandakumar, MPS, SDPO, Moreh, who was shot dead by a sniper while he was on duty and inspecting the construction of a new helipad meant for state forces and paramilitary forces at Eastern Shine School, Moreh, on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

Late Shri. Chingtham Anandakumar Singh was born on 24th November 1972, as son of Shri. Chingtham Kunjabihari Singh and Smt. Chingtham (O) Bimola Devi of Kwakeithel Moirang Purel Leikai, Manipur state.

KMA strongly condemns the dreadful killing of Mr. Anandakumar, the officer on duty and it is a stark reminder of the challenges our law enforcement personnel faces in maintaining peace and order. KMA calls for swift and stringent action against the perpetrators. It is crucial that law enforcement agencies and the legal system work hand-in-hand to ensure that justice must be served to the departed soul. Additionally, KMA urges the government to take decisive steps toward the restoration of peace in the strife-torn state of Manipur.

As KMA mourns the loss of a brave officer, KMA also appeals to renew our commitment in building a society where peace and justice prevail. During these trying times, KMA stands in moral solidarity with the grieving family and our prayers are with Officer Ananda's family and we stand firm in our belief that his sacrifice will not be in vain.

While we offer our humble honour to the great soul, we also pray to rest in peace of the departed soul in the heavenly abode.
